Welcome to the official site of the Pierce County Band's "Sound of Silver" Marching Invitational for small to medium size bands! We are located in south Georgia approximately 15 minutes from Waycross, Georgia. We are excited that you are considering attending our marching band Festival/Competition on October 16, 2010!!! General admission is only $5.00.
New for 2010! There are numerous larger bands than the current 99 member limitation that would like to participate in the Festival aspect of the Sound of Silver Invitational. This year they will be allowed to do so. These larger Festival bands will be positoned last in the Festival. However, the original philosophy of the Sound of Silver will remain intact. Only bands that number less than 99 performers will be allowed to perform in Competition. The classifications are: A = up to 45 winds and percussion, AA = 46-75 winds and percussion, and AAA=76 - 99 winds and percussion. I hope to see you and your band at this year's Sound of Silver Invitational!
