Welcome to the official site of the Pierce County Band's "Sound of Silver" Marching Invitational for small to medium size bands! We are located in south Georgia approximately 15 minutes from Waycross, Georgia. We are excited that you are considering attending our marching band Festival/Competition on October 13, 2012!!! General admission is only $5.00.
There are numerous larger bands (over 99 performers) that would like to participate in the Festival aspect of the Sound of Silver Invitational. This year they will be allowed to do so. These larger Festival bands will be positoned last in the Festival. However, the original philosophy of the Sound of Silver will remain intact. Only bands that number less than 99 performers will be allowed to perform in Competition. The classifications are: A = up to 45 winds and percussion, AA = 46-75 winds and percussion, and AAA=76 - 99 winds and percussion. AAAA is for bands larger than 99 performers and will be allowed to participate in Festival ONLY. I hope to see you and your band at this year's Sound of Silver Invitational!
